COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Lois Suggs, 90, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 6, 2014, at Forest Lake Presbyterian, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3:30 until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2014, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Born on December 9, 1923, Mrs. Suggs was the youngest daughter of the late Warren V. Culler, Jr. and Hessie Robinson Culler. She was reared in the Limestone community of Orangeburg County and was a graduate of Orangeburg High School and the Commercial Business School. She held a position at Hawthorne School of Aeronautics, Greenlawn Cemetery, Lourie's, and Agnes McCauley Designs. She was a member of Forest Lake Presbyterian Church. She was first married to the late David H. Wolfe, Jr. and was the widow of Arthur M. Suggs. Mrs. Suggs is survived by her stepsons: Steve E. (Debbie) Suggs, John M. (Patti) Suggs, George E. Suggs, Arthur D. (Laurel) Suggs, and step daughter-in-law, Gayle C. Suggs. She was preceded in death by her stepson, Richard E. Suggs, and her siblings: Ovid C. Culler, W. Jacob Culler, Cornelia C. Houser, Hessie C. Walsh, Warren V. Culler, III, and Norman D. Culler. She is also survived by her step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Mrs. Suggs spent her last years at Wildewood Downs. The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the service of her caregiver, Reatha Scott, her devoted friend, Angela Render, and the staff of Wildewood Downs. Memorials may be made to Forest Lake Presbyterian Church, 6500 N. Trenholm Road, Columbia, SC 29206 or the Limestone Church Cemetery Fund, 694 Heyward Drive, Orangeburg, SC 29118.
