Lois Ann Taylor, age 74 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Friday, January 19, 2024 at her sister’s home.
She was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on March 19, 1949 the daughter of Clarence and Gertie (Taylor) Taylor. Lois had been a caretaker and had worked as a housekeeper at the Cumberland Falls State Park, and was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed watching TV, shopping, riding around with her sisters, and sitting on the porch watching the birds, squirrels, and other animals.
Her parents; and brothers, Clarence Taylor, Jr., Roy Taylor and wife, Martha, and Rondle A. Taylor precede her in death.
Survivors include her sons, Avery Taylor of Marshes Siding, Kentucky and Chad Taylor of Whitley City, Kentucky; brothers, William Taylor and wife, Martha of Marshes Siding, Kentucky, Kenneth Taylor and wife, Jewel of Science Hill, Kentucky, and Ricky Taylor of Marshes Siding, Kentucky; sisters, Vertie Taylor of Marshes Siding, Kentucky, Betty Head and husband, Roy of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, Donia Dick and husband, Paul of Whitley City, Kentucky, and Donna Vanover and husband, William of Whitley City, Kentucky; and grandchildren, James Taylor, Lacy Taylor, Christy Taylor, and Ian Taylor.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Peters and Bro. Perry Dobbs officiating. Burial to follow in the Old Pigeon Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at the Funeral Home.
