Lois Marie Tella, 91, passed away after a short battle with cancer, she was surrounded by her family. Mom was born on Oct 30th, 1933 in Dade County Missouri to Orville and Bertha McGuire. She had two sisters and two brothers; Alice Butler and her husband Bob of Bolivar, MO; Betty Gillen and her husband Dean, of Greenfield MO; Harold McGuire and wife Marge of Gadston, AL and Larry McGuire and wife Judy of Greenfield, MO.At the age of 17, Mom moved to Springfield to attend Draughons Business College. She made many life long friends including; Janice Crapenhoft, Maxine Hunter and Juanita Steenbaugh. They still got together every month to meet for lunch.

On March 6th,1959, Mom married Scotty Marvin Tella. To this union 3 children were born; David, Douglas and Diane. David and his wife Rena of Ozark, MO, their daughter and Moms only Grandchild Alexis Faith Tella of Brooklyn, NY; Douglas Tella of the home and Diane and her husband Nate McKenzie of Pensacola, MO.

She worked as a sales assistant for a stock brokerage firm. After a lifelong career she retired on Oct 30th, 1998.

Mom is preceded in death by her husband Scotty, both parents, both sisters and their husbands and brother Harold.

She leaves behind her 3 children, her granddaughter, her Brother Larry and wife Judy; sister in law Marge McGuire and a whole host of family members and friends.

Visitation will be Monday August 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E. Seminole, Springfield, MO 65804. Followed by service at 11:00 AM. There will be no graveside service, however she will be buried with our dad at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Section K Row 9. Instead we would like it if you can join us at Parkview Christian Church for lunch, 1362 S Campbell Ave, Springfield MO 65807.

In lieu of flowers, Mom's wish was for donations to be made in memory of her, to her church at the address above.
