Lois Bernice Luster Tharp, 88, of Isola, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, at South Sunflower County Hospital, surrounded by family.

She was born on December 10, 1936, to Bill and Josie Luster. Lois retired from Jockey International after 33 years of service. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Isola.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Don Tharp; her sons, Ricky and Randy Tharp; her grandson, Michael K. Tharp; her brothers, Billy Tom Luster and Buddy Luster; as well as her sisters, Mildred Hoke, Freda McLendon, Christine Redden, and Rosie Roberts.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Lindsey Tharp and Jessica McDonald, daughter-in-law, Renee Tharp, as well as four great-grandsons, Michael Tucker and Nolan Peyton, Channing and Liam McDonald.

Lois is also survived by her dear niece, Nancy Randall, who made sure she always looked her best, spending time and many of her trips with not only Lois but also all the sisters.

As a family, we would like to express our love and appreciation to Mrs. Rose Jackson, who sat with and cared for Lois on a daily basis.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Isola. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Jimmy McLendon officiating. Burial will follow in Caile Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with the arrangements.
