Lois Whitehead Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Whitt Funeral Home & Oakcrest Cremation Center from Dec. 10 to Dec. 12, 2025.
Lois "Mo" Jannette Whitehead, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, friend and aunt, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 78 years old.
Born on September 19, 1947, in Duncan, Oklahoma, Mo was the cherished daughter of Leonard "LD" and Rachel (Dudley) Williams. From an early age, she carried a strong spirit and a sassy determination that would define her life-once her mind was made up, there was no changing it.
Mo dedicated her life as well as her career to caring for others. She worked as the activity director at Duncan Care Center for 10 years and then as a CNA and CMA for 15 years at Gregston Nursing Home, where she also served as Filing Clerk. Her compassion and commitment touched countless lives, and she was known for her ability to bring joy and comfort to those in her care. She lovingly cared for her husband of over 40 years, George, until his passing in 2015.
Outside of work, Mo found happiness in creativity and family. She loved arts and crafts, was a talented seamstress, and enjoyed spending time watching her favorite show, NCIS. Holidays were especially dear to her heart-Christmas was her favorite, and she delighted in decorating and celebrating with loved ones. She adored her grandchildren and granddog, who brought her endless joy.
She is survived by her children: Randy Johnson, Thomas Whitehead and wife Melissa, Georganna Johnson and husband Brian; grandchildren: Brittany Kautzman (Tim), Dalton Whitehead (Sarah), Annabelle Johnson, Bryson Johnson; great grandchildren: Grayson Kautzman, Stella Kautzman; sister, Angela Seratte (Don); and brother, Dee Williams (Shannon).
Mo was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; son, Little George; and sisters: Jaynie Hudgens, Beth Hall, and Lynn Harris.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, December 12, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home. Funeral services are planned for 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 13, in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rocky Keck officiating. Interment will follow in the Marlow Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a memorial donation in Mo's name to the American Liver Foundation at PO Box 299, West Orange, NJ 07052.
