Lois Ann (Bontrager) Yoder, 67, of Wesley, Arkansas, peacefully went home to be with Jesus on August 18, 2025 surrounded by her family. She bravely fought a 3 month battle of glioblastoma; an aggressive brain cancer. She was born on October 10, 1957 to the late Noah & Mary Bontrager. She will be sorely missed by her husband Edward Yoder whom she married on July 10, 1982. To this union 5 children were born. Emily (Matt) Miller of Dyke, VA, Karl (Rachel) Yoder of Wesley, AR, Kevin (Rhoda) Yoder of Wesley, AR, Kendall (Angie) Yoder of Wesley, AR, and Mary Jo Yoder of the home. Gabriel, Kendra, Isaiah, Alaina, Shianne, Malena, and Declan will miss their beloved Grandma. Lois doted on her grandchildren on earth and was excited about getting to dote on her granddaughter Krystal in Paradise. Lois is survived by her five siblings; Frieda (Andy) Miller, LaVerne (Velma) Bontrager, Ray (Denis) Bontrager, Ruth (Sonny) Yoder, Mervin (Lois) Bontrager. She was predeceased by a stillborn brother Stanley. Lois grew up in Middlebury, Indiana and graduated from Clinton Christian School. She attended Woodlawn Church. After marrying Edward, they lived on their farm in Millersburg, Indiana until their move to Ireland in 2005. Lois left a piece of her heart in Ireland and often spoke fondly of the memories she and her family made there. In 2010 they moved to Wesley, Arkansas where she was a faithful member of Lighthouse of Faith. Her legacy of faithfully serving and supporting her husband in work and ministry has been an encouragement to many. Her quiet hospitable heart will be greatly missed in the church and the community. We as a family wish to express gratitude for the many ways you have cared and supported us through this journey. We have been so blessed by your prayers, words of encouragement, delicious food, beautiful flowers, your presence and so much more. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM, and from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Lighthouse of Faith Church, Huntsville. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, August 22, 2025, at Lighthouse of Faith Church with Kevin Schrock and Dan Byler officiating. Pallbearers will be Karl Yoder, Kevin Yoder, Kendall Yoder, Matt Miller, Mervin Bontrager, and Luis Zimmermann. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Yoder, Andrew Yoder, Jonny Yoder, and Wes Bontrager . Interment will immediately follow services at Lighthouse of Faith Cemetery. Memorial donations in Lois memory may be made to the Glioblastoma Foundation, P.O. Box 62066, Durham, NC 27715 Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
