Lois M. Zillmer, born on November 19, 1934, in Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, in Mishawaka, Indiana, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Lois graduated from Madison High School and worked at Stoner's Restaurant and Ball Band before finding a fulfilling career as a sales representative at Avon, where she worked for 32 years. Her affinity for crafts of all kinds filled her home and the homes of those she loved with beauty and memories. She especially enjoyed crocheting and knitting cozy blankets for her family and friends. Lois also had a special fondness for flowers and houseplants, nurturing them with the same care and attention she gave to the people in her life.
She lived a life of love and dedication to her family. Alongside her devoted husband, Bill E. Zillmer, whom she married on May 10, 1952, she raised a beautiful family. Together, they shared 70 years of marriage, filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. Bill preceded her in death on December 8, 2022.
She is survived by her children: Robin, Brian, Linda (Rick) Strombeck, Gail Lingenfelter, David, Eric (Annette), and Patrick (Stephanie) Zillmer; her 10 grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; and her sister, Maryann Stevens.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her son, Jamie, who passed on April 11, 2025; her grandson, Shawn Robert Strombeck; her brother, Roland Klein; her sister, Ida; and her parents, Paul Klein and Beulah (Culp) Klein.
She leaves behind a tapestry of memories woven with love, laughter, and the brightest of threads-a life well-lived and well-loved. Her presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
The family would like to thank our brother Brian for his love and dedication to the care of mom.
Family will receive friends on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 5:00PM – 7:00 PM, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th St. Mishawaka.
