Lon Leo Jeske

Ava, Missouri

Lon Leo Jeske, 77 years, 4 months, and 17 days old, passed away on September 22, 2025, at his home in Ava, Missouri with his wife, Teri, by his side.

On May 5, 1948, Lon was born in Sioux City, Iowa, to Leo Frank and Joyce Mary (Hewitt) Jeske. He was adopted by Grayce (Walejko) Jeske at the age of 2 years after his mother passed away.

Lon was an Army veteran. He served his country honorably from 1968 to 1970.

He was a member of Fleet Reserve Association, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 11 in Springfield, MO, and Springfield Elks Lodge #409 were he worked on the veterans committee.

Lon and Teri Jeske were united in marriage on August 13, 2023, in Battlefield, Missouri.

He enjoyed boating, fishing, and camping. Lon was also a bee keeper. His greatest passion was working with and helping other veterans.

Lon was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ken Jeske.

He is survived by his wife, Teri; children, Kelly (Chris) Weldon, Kim Anderson, Kevin (Doreen) Jeske, Karen Jeske, and Karie (Terry) Jeske; grandchildren, John (Sabrina) Weldon, Allison (Michael) Lytle, Jacob (Wayde) Weldon, Josh (Grace) Anderson, Mathew (Katie) Weldon, Erik (Katie) Weldon, Jaden Anderson, Mason Anderson, Maddisyn Aryes, Nyckolas Aryes, and Maggie Jeske; great-grandchildren, Carter Anderson, Jackson Anderson, Alea Anderson, Everett Anderson, Beckett Anderson, and Wesley Anderson; siblings, Don Jeske, Ted Jeske, and Kay Jeske; and many other relatives and friends.
