Lonnie Neil Andersen, a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025, at the age of 68.
Lonnie was born on August 6, 1957, in Logan, UT, to Orval George Andersen and Lila Sheril Clegg Andersen. He grew up in the area and, in his younger years, worked as a skilled steel erector. Later in life, he found his true calling: bringing joy to others. Lonnie worked and volunteered as Santa Claus, a role he cherished with all his heart.
Lonnie married his sweetheart and the love of his life, Khristine Ann Wofford Andersen. For 46 beautiful years, they built a life full of adventure and devotion. Though they did not have children, their home was always full of love for their "fur babies,” Daisy and Bella.
Lonnie's greatest passion was the outdoors. He knew the local mountain ranges intimately and loved any chance to go hunting, fishing, or camping. He was always up for an adventure, whether riding the trails on his sandrail or simply spending time in nature. His favorite activity was taking his nieces and nephews on these excursions, sharing his deep knowledge and love for the mountains. In his spare time, he was a talented wood carver, creating many beautiful walking sticks that are treasured by his friends and family.
Lonnie is survived by his wife, Khristine Ann Wofford Andersen, of Brigham City; his sister, Dee Lila Andersen Spencer, of Brigham City; his niece, Lisa Spencer Moss, and many other beloved nieces and nephews who will carry on his adventurous spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orval George Andersen and Lila Sheril Clegg Andersen, his brother, Rex Andersen, and his cherished dogs, Daisy and Bella.
