Elizabeth "Betty" Priske, 94, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, October 20, 2023, in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Per her wishes and her family, cremation rites have been accorded under the care of the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, October 25 at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home, followed by a burial at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends and family are also invited to attend a visitation one hour prior, beginning at 1:00 P.M. Memorials may be directed to the family. Elizabeth Priske was born on March 08, 1929 in Chelsea, Iowa. She was the daughter of Albert Wilkinson and Nancy (Willey) Wilkinson. On June 6, 1955, Betty married the love of her life, Paul Priske at the farm in Chelsea, IA. She was first employed at Emerson-Fisher Controls of Marshalltown till her retirement after 40 years of service. She later worked for an additional 12 years at The Embers Retirement Community. Elizabeth was a proud member of Labor Union U.A.W. Local 893 and on her free time she enjoyed cooking and cleaning for her family, she also loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren: Jason and Nathan Priske, great-grandchildren: Madilyn, Riley, Caiden, and Karissa Priske, siblings: Bernard Wilkinson, Shirley Cepelak, Jack Wilkinson, Margie Avery, and daughter-in-law Janet Priske.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband Paul Priske, parents: Albert and Nancy Wilkinson, son Steve Priske and siblings: Lavina Kent, Ernie Wilkinson, and Keith Wilkinson.
