Lonnie Floyd Johnson

Mr. Lonnie Floyd Johnson, age 78, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025, in Texarkana.

He was born April 16, 1947, in De Queen. He was the owner of Johnson's Services, Incorporated, for 43 years and was a member of Kern Heights Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam with the 1st Cavalry Air Mobile Division and was awarded two Purple Hearts, the Army Air Medal, and a Bronze Star with a "V" device. He enjoyed working, running dogs, riding his side-by-side, and gardening.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Joe M. Johnson, Sr., and Bernice Stricker Johnson; one sister, Mary Helen Koelzer; and three brothers, Joe Johnson, Jr., Dean Johnson, and Jackie Pike.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kathy Johnson; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Tony and Kelly Johnson, Tyler and Jennifer Johnson, and Austin Johnson, all of De Queen; one daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Jason Cobb of Little Rock, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Zack and Rachel Johnson, Wyatt and Erin Johnson, Riley Johnson, Solomon Cobb, Ezekiel Cobb, Naomi Cobb and Cole Johnson; five great grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Nell and Bill Cummings of Marshall, Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, KK Johnson of De Queen; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Debbie Smith of Grand Prairie, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Lonnie will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, in Kern Heights Baptist Church, with Bobby Fischer officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 29th at the funeral home.
