Rev. Lonnie M. Landers Sr, age 74, of Russellville, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026, at Arkansas Heart Hospital. He was born Jan. 18, 1952, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Lloyd N. and Mary Sue Mason Landers.
He was a member of the ATU Tennis Team, Kappa Kappa PSI, ASBOA, MENC, ABA, Small School Band Association, Pastor 12 years at AMC, Elder at Global Methodist Church.
He was a band director at Danville, Clarksville, Mount Ida, Yellville-Summit, Harmony Grove-Camden, Ed-Russellville Public Schools, ATU-B.ME and MED.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Pete Hagar, Robert Garrigus, and Bill Moore; and sisters-in-law, Paula Moore and Patsy Garrigus.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Judith "Judy" Landers; a son, Lonnie M. Landers Jr., of Russellville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jamie and Josh Van Sickler of Bella Vista and Rebecca and Jerald Bales of Russellville; a daughter-in-law, Stacy L. Landers of Russellville; brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Lloyd and Doris Landers of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sydna and Don Daily and Mary Hagar all of Russellville; brothers-in-law, Rick Garrigus and Bud Choate; a sister-in-law, Jane Garrigus; three grandchildren, Joshua Jordan Van Sickler, Averyella J. Bales and Bailee Landers (JD Gunnels) all of Russellville; one great-grandchild, Atlas Kade Gunnels; and numerous nieces and nephews.
All services are private and arrangements are under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
