Age 63 of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
Born in Ava, IL, December 16, 1961, Lonnie was a son of Norman and Shirley (Née James) McBride.
He was a graduate of Joliet Township East High School, (Class of 1979) and a proud United States Army Veteran.
Throughout his life, Lonnie also resided in Fort Hood – Kileen TX, Fort Leonard, MO, Oahu, HW, Sacramento, CA, Braidwood and Joliet, IL.
He worked in the medical field for ten years and then as a truck driver until his retirement.
Lonnie enjoyed bowling, loved the water, playing in the pool and walking on the beach. Wherever Lonnie went, he always brought his dog along.

Survivors include his loving daughter, Jessica (Jovon) Jamison, Suisun City, CA; grandchildren, Donte (Sequoia) Jamison, Nyko Jamison, Xavier Jamison, Raiden Jamison and Cayla Jamison; great-grandchild, Ambrose Jamison, brother, Gilbert McBride; nieces, Amber McBride and children, April Andrews and children, Debbie Combs and children; nephews, Norman III and Raymond McBride.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his wife and the love of his life, Tina (Howard) McBride; parents, Norman and Shirley McBride; brothers, Micky McBride and Norman McBride, Jr., and sisters, Kimmy Couch and Vicki Boyd.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 – 11:40 a.m. at the Welcome Center.
Lonnie will be laid to rest following Military Honors and a Committal service at 12:00 noon.
