Janet Lee McBride

Janet Lee McBride, age 79, of Moran, Kansas, passed away March 18, 2026, at St. Luke's South, Overland Park, Kansas. Janet was born March 20, 1946, in Iola, Kansas, to Bernard McAloon and Lilly (Sherwood) McAloon.

Janet graduated in 1964 from Iola High School. Janet and Jack H. McBride were married May 4, 1964, in Wise County, Texas.

Janet worked at Gates Rubber Company in Iola, Kansas, and then at Marmaton Valley High School in Moran, Kansas.

Janet enjoyed sewing, gardening, and she liked to read.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her sister, Diane Lewis.

Janet is survived by her children, Jacque (Ed) Vincent, Kathy (Lyle) Milner, John (Michelle) McBride; grandchildren, Elizabeth McBride, Crystal Richards, Jessica Vincent, Courtney Driskel, Kaden Milner; five great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Kirkes; brother, Pat McAloon; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will greet friends and family at a visitation on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.

A graveside service with burial will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., in the Moran Cemetery, Moran, Kansas.
