Lora Michelle Blum was born to Judy (Catanzaro) Blum and Roger Blum (deceased) in Cincinnati, OH. She is survived by her devoted mother, Judy Blum, her siblings Gina Blum, Christopher (Chris) & Tracy (Musick) Blum, Michael (Mike) & Deanna (Dee) (Johnston) Blum, as well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Lora was preceded in the recent death of her brother, Tim Blum. Lora was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH. She attended St. Bartholomew grade school and went to McAuley high school. She achieved her master’s degrees in business and marketing from Indiana Wesleyan University. Family and friends would describe her as caring, warm, a workaholic, beautiful, funny, compassionate, talented, charitable, a great soccer player and her mom’s best friend.
Lora was truly the “glue” of her family. She devoted countless hours to family trees, family picture albums, texts, phone calls, and preserving family history-reaching as far back as great-great-grandparents, aunts and uncles. She worked for Walgreen’s for 17 years. Lora started at the age of 15 as a part-time cashier. Her career with Walgreens took her to California in 2010. She became a Community Leader with various Walgreen stores reporting to her. In 2011 (1 year later) Lora became ill and was no longer able to work.
Lora often coordinated Walgreen employees to help serve lunch at their local Ronald McDonald house. It was a passion she had for the sick and trying to care for them in some way. She became close to people she met who were ill or had problems. Lora was a good listener and because of her own suffering, she could easily relate to others going through the same thing. Lora endured 14 years of various medical problems. There is comfort now, knowing she no longer hurts, and is in the hands of Our Lord.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at St. Bartholomew Church 9375 Winton Rd. Cincinnati, OH from 9:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM.
