Funeral services for Debra Gail Hendrix Hancock, age 72, of Sterlington, Louisiana, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Monroe, Louisiana. Angi Spangler and Julie Wonser will officiate. A visitation for family and friends will be held at 10:00 A.M., prior to the service at Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Whitestown, Indiana.

Debra was born on October 24, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Conway and Annie Hendrix and passed away on February 1, 2026 in Sterlington, Louisiana.

Debra loved God first and foremost. She loved her husband and family. Her hobbies included her job, missionary work, riding motorcycles, shooting guns and golf. She was a member of Trinity Worship Center in Martinsville, Indiana and belonged to Tumaini Women Kenya, International Childcare Ministry and Set-Free Foundations (fighting against human trafficking). She earned a Master's Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and worked as an accountant at Free Methodist Church World Ministry Center.

She was preceded in death by her father, Conway Hendrix; daughters, Tamara Sue Hancock and Jennifer Hancock.

Those left to cherish Debra's memory include her husband, Billy Hancock; mother, Annie Hendrix; son, Michael Hancock (Jasmine); daughter, Julie Wonser (Vernon); grandchildren, Kerrstin Petty, Jocelyn Hancock, Jennifer Hancock and Harlan Hancock; sisters, Tina Thomas and Terry Neal; brother, Conway Hendrix; cousins, nieces, nephews and many other cherished family members and friends.

Debra will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.
