Lora L. Hearn

Of Turtle Creek, age 70, died on Sunday, January 17, 2021.

Beloved wife of Joseph Hearn. Lora and Joe would have celebrated their 50th Anniversary next Saturday, January 23.

Loving mother of Kathleen (late Scott) Starr of Turtle Creek and Kevin Hearn of North Versailles.

Treasured grandmother of Jordan, Breanna, Madison and Julianna.

Dear sister of Henry R. Bowden of Turtle Creek.

Lora was preceded in death by her parents, Henry C. and Betty Jane (Sanker) Bowden.

Lora was a 1968 graduate of Turtle Creek High School and had been a teacher's aide at the former St. Colman School. She also was a docent and receptionist at the former "Castle" in Wilmerding and she was a former employee of Isaly's in Turtle Creek. Lora appreciated those who served in our nation's military and volunteered as President of the former Ladies auxiliary of the American Legion in Turtle Creek. She also demonstrated her sense of military history by being a French and Indian War (18th Century) re-enactor at numerous events including Ft. Ligonier Days and the Battle of Bushy Run commemoration. Lora also enjoyed camping with her family at various campgrounds.

Friends are welcome on Tuesday from 3-7pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350 where a Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Lora will be laid to rest in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
