Lora Etta Watson Taylor

Lora Etta Watson Taylor, 86, of Wynne, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House at St. Bernard's in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Lora was born on February 12, 1939, in DeWitt, Arkansas, to Lester and Pearl Turner Watson. She married Forrest O'Neal Taylor in 1956. Together, they raised three children, Michael Dean, Stephen O'Neal, and Sherry Leann, and taught them the value of hard work. Lora worked at Addison Shoe Company for over 40 years. She enjoyed traveling and loved to bowl, often taking trips across the country to compete in tournaments. Lora was also a devoted member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church.

Lora is survived by her sons, Michael Dean Taylor and wife Sharon of Wynne, Stephen O'Neal Taylor and wife Lora of Searcy, brother Johnny Watson of Wynne, sister Abigail Watson of Red Banks, Mississippi, and grandchildren Megan Taylor, Brent Taylor, and Kyle Taylor. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Adyson Taylor, Gavin Thomas, Brooks Taylor, and Hallie Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest O'Neal Taylor, in 2013, her daughter, Sherry Leanne Taylor, and her sisters, Carolyn and Betty.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Kernodle Funeral Home from 12 PM until 1 PM. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM with burial in Harris Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Steward Brooks and Billy Meachem will officiate.

Memorials may be made to Harris Chapel Baptist Church or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
