Loree Peek Laster, 67, of Bruceville-Eddy, passed away Saturday March 4, 2023.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 10th from 4 to 7 PM at the VFW Post on Sun Valley Drive in Hewitt, TX.
Loree was born February 19, 1956, in Canyon, TX to Joe Max Carver and Sylvia Carver and was raised by her dad, Lonnie Peek and mom, Sylvia Peek. She attended Roosevelt ISD in Acuff, TX. She loved her many horses and numerous dogs.
Loree worked in Austin as a manager for Gladwin Paint Company for 20 years before retiring to start her next chapter of leisure, fishing, visiting her many friends in the area, her many computer games, Facebook and Jeopardy.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Buehler; mother, Sylvia Peek of Lubbock, TX; sisters, Kathy Viney of North Richland Hills, TX and Demeka Hall of Lubbock, TX; her step-mother, Yvonne Carver of Ft Worth, TX; and sister-in-law, Debra Carver. She also leaves behind nephews, Lucas Viney of Whitney, TX, Trevar Peek; niece, Trisha Walker; many great nieces and nephews all from Lubbock, TX.
She is preceded in death by her dad, Lonnie Peek; her grandparents, Mary and Leslie Key, Joe and Ruby Carver and Cleo and Cecil Peek; and brother, Bryan Carver.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest donations to the Waco Humane Society of Central Texas, 2032 Waco Rd., Waco TX 76706.
