Lorelei J. Bushnell, 13, of Brainerd, MN passed away unexpectedly on January 16, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday January 27, 2023, at 4:00pm at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter. There will be a visitation for family and friends beginning at 2:00pm, until the time of the service. A light lunch will be served.
Our Lorelei was born on April 24, 2009, in Princeton, MN to Chana Pederson and Gary Bushnell.
Lorelei was an 8th grade student at Forestview Middle School in Baxter, MN. She loved going shopping, adventures, and spending time with family and friends. She was very creative and artistic, loved to laugh, and lived for her love of music. She had an amazing, beautiful singing voice. She loved riding bike with her grandma TT and stopping at Starbucks to chill and talk with her.
Lorelei loved animals more than people, it seemed. She wanted to attend Central Lakes College for photography. We promised her a trip to England after she graduated high school. She had two hamsters that she loved to spoil-Tommy and Cooke, and a new puppy, Bleu.
Her family describes her as generous, kind, gentle, beautiful, creative, inquisitive, gifted, delicate, amazing, and funny. Lorelei had many big dreams, and now she doesn’t need to wait. No fear, no pain. Only peace, love, and light forever.
She is survived by her mother, Chana Pederson, father Gary Bushnell, brother Gunner Bushnell, Chana’s boyfriend Andy Rivera and his son, Kai, her grandmother Tracy Turner, Aunt Krissy Pederson, Uncle Phillip Pederson, and Grandfather Mike Eidem, and many other extended family and her friends.
Lorelei is preceded in death by her great grandparents Phillip and Jackie Pederson.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your precious child. My son was in her class at Forestview, and it seemed they liked to talk about recipes. I pray she is at peace and that her friends and family may find peace as well somehow.
