Lorelle "Lori" Moeck

Lorelle "Lori" Moeck, 79, of Elmhurst, passed away March 9, 2025 at home, surrounded by her family. She was born April 10, 1945 in Chicago, to the late Stephen and Kathryn Vacula. Lori grew up in Wonder Lake, IL and graduated from Mchenry High School. She married William J. Moeck July 23, 1977; They made Elmhurst their home for over 40 years.
Lori was a voracious reader – often readings as many as two or three books in a week. Spending time with her daughter, family and her beloved dog, Beau, brought her immeasurable happiness. Her laugh was contagious to anyone around her.
Cherished mother of Liesl (Nick) Esposito; beloved Oma to William Esposito; loving cousin to Ron (Ann) Vacula, Cheryl (John) Kuchinskas and Roberta (Stan) Williams; dear aunt and loyal friend to many. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William J. Moeck.
A visitation will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Elmhurst Community Funeral Home – THE AHLGRIM CHAPEL, 567 South Spring Road, Elmhurst. Funeral Prayers 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 13th at the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Visitation Catholic Church, 779 South York Street, Elmhurst. Interment Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst.
