Paul Scott Doty

Paul Doty, a beloved father, brother, and friend passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026. He was 59.

Paul was the son of Jack and Grace Doty; he was born and lived his life in Elmhurst, IL. Growing up as child number nine of ten, Paul learned early on the value of family, and how to handle a little bit of chaos.

Paul is survived by his son Kyle Kraus and eight siblings: Diane (Alan) Nelson, Lynn Hale (Charlie Humman), John Doty, Jim Doty (Carol Boland), Bill Doty, Tom Doty, Carol (Steve) Cook, and Rob Doty. His sister, Cathy Koski, preceded him in death. He was also an uncle to nine.

The family will gather later this year to celebrate his life. While this will be private, Paul's family encourages his many friends to gather in their own way to toast his memory and share the stories that made him special to all of us.

The family requests that any memorial donations be made in Paul's name to your favorite charity.
