Mr. Loren Paul Blackston, 72, of Ellaville passed away on November 22, 2023 at Atrium Navicent Medical Center in Macon, GA. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 in Pine Level Cemetery in Mauk, GA at 11:00 AM with Rev. Gary Page and Rev. Brian Litch officiating. Pallbearers will be Wade Lamb, Bryant Crawford, Jacob Underwood, Noah Gladden and Dustin Gladden. The family will greet friends at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Ellaville on Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
Mr. Blackston was born May 24, 1951 in Butler, GA to Loren Jackson and Minnie Lois Hayes Blackston. He was an Electrician most of his life, before retirement. Mr. Blackston enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming. He loved helping people any way he could. Mr. Blackston was a member of Concord United Methodist Church in Ellaville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Sidney Blackston.
Survivors include his wife, Colleen Blackston of Ellaville; three sons, Michael Blackston and his wife, Mallory, Doug Gladden and Jake Gladden, all of Ellaville; two daughters, Renda Gladden of Ellaville and Sam Blackston of Ft. Valley, GA; two step-children, Jeremy Underwood and his wife, Felicia of Ellaville and Chasity Aldridge and her husband, Tim of Jesup, GA; three brothers, Jackie Blackston and his wife, Becky of Mauk, GA, Tommy Blackston of Mauk, GA and Jerry Blackston and his wife, Lisa of Mobile, AL; five sisters, Anne Montgomery of Butler, GA, Janice Bryant of Mauk, GA, Judy McCrory and her husband, Bob of Columbus, GA, Arlene Jordan and her companion, Eric of Tazewell, GA, and Kathy Blackston of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Angel Combs, Sheyenne Harris, Shelby Lynn Roberts, Waylon Blackston, Lily Gladden, Noah Gladden, Dustin Gladden, Wade Lamb, Bryant Crawford, Jamie Martinez, Noel Webb (John), Kyler Blackston, Arabella, Jacob Underwood, Trevor Underwood, Daniel Aldridge and Caitlyn Aldridge; numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.
