Loreto Tramontozzi Obituary

Loreto Tramontozzi
It is with great sadness that the family of Loreto Tramontozzi – dedicated husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend – announce his sudden passing on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at the age of 75.
Loreto was born on February 13, 1949 to Domenico and Livia Tramontozzi in Lota, Italy, the youngest of their two children. He began his life in Italy and at the age of 21 moved to Stamford, CT. He worked 35+ years in construction with Frank Mercedes & Sons, Inc.
Loreto was blessed with a large and loving family. Loreto married Anna on August 08, 1970 in Settefrati, Italy and their love lasted 54 years.
Loreto is survived by his loving wife, Anna, his wonderful children, Domenico and his wife, Caroline Tramontozzi and MaryLu and her husband, Ferdinando Conte. He adored his five grandchildren: Antonio, Olivia, Philip, Nicholas and Christopher. He is also survived by his brother, Antonio (Viola) Tramontozzi, sister-in-law Teresa (Serafino) Gentile, brother-in-law Leonardo (Silvana) Casinelli, Mario (Palma) Casinelli and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Domenico and Livia Tramontozzi, sister-in-law Marie Casinelli and Antonietta (Luigi) Vitti and nephew Domenico Tramontozzi.
Loreto was an avid hunter and gardener and gave his time preparing meals at the Settefratese Social Club and spending time gathering with his friends. He enjoyed many summers visiting his hometown in Settefrati, Italy with his family. He was devoted to La Madonna di Canneto. He appreciated the Italian traditions of making wine, prosciutto and soppressata. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who asked and loved making people laugh.
Loreto was loved by so many. We will miss him dearly, but we are so grateful for the time we had to spend with him. We will always have his presence in our hearts.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Lacerenza Macari Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford, CT.
A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford, CT, on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 10:30am. Entombment will immediately follow at Lakeview Cemetery, 352 Main St., New Canaan, CT.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, American Breast Cancer Foundation or La Madonna di Canneto. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.lacerenzafh.com
