Loretta Barkin Obituary
Loretta Lurlean Barkin, 56, of Kountze, TX, passed away peacefully on November 27th, 2025-Thanksgiving Day-at Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston, TX.
Loretta was born on September 7th, 1969, in Kountze, TX. She was a graduate of Kountze High School, Class of 1988.
Loretta is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Shirley Bryant.
She is survived by her daughter, Twinkles(Shaquille), and her four grandchildren-Jermaine, Star, Skye, and Micah-whom she adored. She is also survived by one brother, Tom Butler Bryant (Irma), and her sisters Judy "Liz" Bryant (Nate) and Eugena "Gena" Bryant, all of Houston, TX, and Lois "Dinkey" Roy of Beaumont, TX. She leaves behind a special aunt, Ruth Morgan of Montgomery, TX, and her best friend and "sister," Mary "Queen" Jackson of Kountze, TX. She will also be deeply missed by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
There will be no public service, and we ask for your prayers and privacy as we mourn our loss.
