Loretta Branciforte Obituary

Loretta P. Branciforte, 87, of Trafford, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025, in the Golden Heights Personal Care Home in Penn Twp. Loretta was born on Dec. 5, 1937, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late James and Elsie (Johnston) Nestor. Loretta worked for the GMC Factory (now Valeo) in New York and retired from Attica State Prison in New York. She also was a member of the Murrysville Senior Center, serving as President and Treasurer. In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her first husband, Guido A. Cappelli; her second husband, Angelo J. Branciforte; and a step-son, Michael Branciforte. Loretta is survived by her son, Guido A. Cappelli Jr. (Ellen); her grandchildren, Bethany Cappelli and Sgt. Brendan Cappelli (U.S. Army); her stepchildren, Betsy Seeley (Gerald), Tom Branciforte (Sharon), Joel Branciforte (Jan), Jamie Branciforte (Terri), and John Branciforte; and numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 702 Seventh St. (State Route 130), Trafford, 412-372-3111. A funeral liturgy will follow visitation at 7 p.m. in the funeral home, Friday, with Rev. Dr. David Grissom officiating. Interment will be private.
