Loretta F. Casey

West Springfield-Loretta F. Casey passed away peacefully at home in West Springfield on Thursday, June 26, 2025. She was 88 years old. Born in Ludlow, MA she was one of nine children born to Edward and Florence (McCarthy) Swenor. She was raised in Ludlow and also lived in Springfield before settling in with her son Jimmy in West Springfield. She married Carl T. Casey and was primarily a homemaker, devoting herself to raising their three sons. Later, she found joy in caring for her grandchildren. Loretta enjoyed playing keno and bingo and taking trips to Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut. Loretta was predeceased by her parents and husband Carl of 55 years; brothers Edward, Harry "Bobby" and Louis Swenor, and sister Beverly LaLiberty. She is survived by her sons Joseph (Karen) Casey and Harold (Jeanna) Casey, both of Chicopee James (Victoria) Casey of West Springfield; brother Harold Swenor of Burrillville, RI; sisters Phyllis Burbe also of Burrillville, Lorainne Jaillett, and Elizabeth Ferrindino both of Springfield; seven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. All services will be private and have been entrusted to TOOMEY-O'BRIEN Funeral Home in West Springfield.
