Loretta Mae Conn, 91, of Delaware, Ohio went home to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully early Friday morning, March 28, 2025 at The Gables of Marysville surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 22, 1933 in Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania to the late Thomas Oliver and Inez Marea (Show) Sproul and graduated from Confluence High School in 1949. On September 10, 1951, she married the love of her life Alvin Herbert Conn. Together they shared 51 years of marriage before his passing in 2002.
She was a devoted & faithful wife and mother. Her daily care consisted of countless hours of gardening, sewing quilts in the winter, baking pies for Christmas and canning throughout the summer. Her love of building puzzles, card and board games created a fun family atmosphere, that has been carried on by her numerous grandchildren. In her later years, she loved playing Soduku and Solitaire on her computer.
After the death of her husband, she moved to Ohio to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed many trips with family and friends and cherished the extra time God granted her. She had a love of Jesus that could be seen in her faithful walk and quiet strength. She leaves a legacy of love of family and loving Jesus.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sheryll (William) Hatfield of Frankfort, Teresa Voss of Bellefontaine, Gregory (Sue) Conn of Marysville, and Rebecca "Becky" (Charles) Stechschulte of Delaware; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; brother, Rev. James Sproul of Arizona; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Loretta was also preceded in death by her son Randall Conn, daughter Geraldine Conn, son-in-law Michael Voss, brothers Herbert Sproul, Rev. David Sproul, Charles Sproul, and Dale Sproul, and sisters Wilma Burd, Irene Mancha, Nettie Partin, and Stella Strickler.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 11:00 am at Greenlawn Cemetery in Frankfort, Ohio.
A private celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
