Loretta G Cooper

Loretta G. Cooper, age 60, of Mt. Carmel, Indiana died Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at her residence in Mt. Carmel, following a lengthy illness.

Born July 4, 1965 in Connersville, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Lowell Thomas & Judith Gail (Cummins) Cooper.

Loretta had worked as a farm hand, and did factory work for much of her life.

She attended the Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed bible study. In her leisure time she enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and her canine companions.

Survivors include two sisters, Wilma Rapp of Rushville, Indiana and Wanetta Osborne of Milford, Ohio, a brother, Phillip Cooper of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; several nieces & nephews whom she raised like her own children, as well as a cousin, Susan Grubb, whom she thought of as a sister.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lowell Thomas Cooper Jr. & Greg Parrett.

Family & friends may visit from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Rev. Andy Zinsmeister will officiate the Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, with burial following in Big Cedar Cemetery in Brookville.
