Mrs. Loretta Ann Parker Edwards, age 68, of Gibsonville, NC, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness.
Born in Fayetteville, NC, she was the daughter of the late James Parker, Jr. and the late Shirley Ann Jones Parker. She retired after working many years in the retail industry. Loretta enjoyed gardening, sewing, macrame and reading. She was a nature lover and especially enjoyed animals of all kinds. She was very family oriented and was a loving mother, but really enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by her three sons, Josh Hall (Jessica), Anthony Hall (Erica) and John Swaim; six grandchildren, Christian Hall, Makayla Graf, Alyssa Henderson, Annica Henderson, Jason Swaim and Parker Swaim; two sisters, Charlotte Cole (Michael) and Debbie Dyer; and a brother, James Parker (Rhonda). She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Hall; her parents; and a brother, Wayne Parker.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
