Loretta Freeman

Loretta Freeman, age 87, of Waxhaw went to be with the Lord on December 30,2025. Loretta was a woman of many talents. She was a seamstress and made a lot of clothes, she was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She loved embroidery, crochet, working jigsaw puzzles and Macrame when it was popular. She loved painting pictures that were paint by numbers. Preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Annie Mae Hawkins; son, James Aaron Freeman; Brother, Thomas Hawkins; Sisters, Shirley Taylor and Nancy Bradley. Survivors include her Sons, Ronnie(Ruth Ann) of Waxhaw, Harold (Kimberly) of Belmont; Daughter, Pamela(David) Russ of Salisbury; Sisters, Annette (Bruce) Buckner, Judy (Clarence) Owenby, Kathy (Bruce) Lovelace; grandchildren, Matt (Carissa) Freeman, Nick (Renee) Freeman, Jonathan Freeman, Audrey Freeman, Brandie (Justin) Quinn, Crystal Freeman, Kathryn Freeman, Hannah Freeman, Krista Gainey; Great Grandchildren, Cody, Ryah, Eli, Ava, Sam, Jacob Q, Bailey, Zachary, Christian, Jacob, Brennon, Jaxon, Briella, Bentley.

A memorial Service will be held at 11 am on January 10, 2026 at Calvary Baptist Church in Statesville with Dermont Crabtree officiating.
