Loretta Glover Obituary
June 12, 1947 - December 4, 2025
Loretta Paul Glover, a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, entered eternal rest on December 4, 2025, at the age of 78. She was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, to John Paul Jr. and Mary Louise Mouton.
She was a proud graduate of Holy Rosary Institute High School. Loretta was beloved during her 41 years of service at Lafayette General, and she also dedicated herself as a compassionate caregiver for multiple families throughout the Lafayette area.
Loretta was an active and joyful presence in her community. She loved hosting her annual New Year's Eve party, Mardi Gras parades, taking casino bus trips, hosting women's conferences, and playing Jim Rummy on Fridays.
To cherish her memory, Loretta leaves behind her daughter, Stacey Prejean (Everette), and her son, Quentin Glover (Kirsten); her sisters-in-law, Gloria Felix, Norma Glover, and Nancy Glover; and her grandchildren, Adrienne Prejean, Ashley Prejean, Everette Prejean Jr., Ana Eliste Lindon, Quiana Lei Lindon, Jaylen Lilly, and Kayden Lilly. She is also remembered with love by a host of nieces and nephews, along with a large circle of cousins and dear friends who stood beside her like sisters throughout her life.
Loretta was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Glover Jr.; her father, John Paul; her mother, Mary Louise Mouton; her aunt, Louise Howard, who lovingly raised her; her aunt, Ella Brooks, her sisters in law, Mathilda Glover Bell, Jerryline Glover Trahan, Geraldine Glover Williams; her brother in law, Russel Glover, and her cousins, Jerry Catalon, Debra Breaux, Lovelta Simmons and Gregory Sam.
