Loretta M. Grzetich, age 93, of Shorewood, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at her late residence. Loretta was born in Burlington, IA, the daughter of the late Clarence and Marie (nee Eversmann) Lutz, and was raised in Davenport, IA. She moved to the Joliet area where she resided for 70 years.
Loretta was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Joliet as well as a member of the Rosarian Club. She volunteered for numerous events at St. Joseph Church throughout the years and designed artwork for many events as well. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid gardener. Loretta also enjoyed getting lost in a good book and watching movies.
Loretta is survived by her loving children, Judy Belfield Bond, James (Lesley) Grzetich, Marianne (Michael) Manetti, Stephen Grzetich, Richard (Charlyn) Grzetich, Christina (Robert) Kronz, and Josephine Grzetich; 14 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, Joseph N. Grzetich; her parents; three sisters; and one brother.
Visitation for Loretta M. Grzetich will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. Face masks are required, social distancing and capacity restrictions will be observed. Interment will follow Woodlawn Memorial Park.
