Murphy Funeral Home - SalemLoretta Guy-King, lovingly known to many as Auntie Retta, passed away on February 7, 2026, in Salem, Massachusetts, at the age of 62. A lifelong resident of Lynn, Massachusetts, she was born on December 21, 1963, to James Guy Sr. and Anniebell Guy.
Loretta was a proud graduate of Lynn Classical High School. She dedicated many years of service to Ricoh Workplace Solutions before retiring to embrace one of her greatest joys — being a full-time Naum to her beloved grandchildren. Family was always at the center of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
She found happiness in attending church, listening to music, watching horror movies and shows, and singing. Known for her warmth, humor, and nurturing spirit, Loretta built lasting bonds with family, friends, and all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Ciarra King and Alizabeth Guy; her grandchildren, Charles Washington, Kaydence Washington, and Anang Ebua Jr.; her father, James Guy Sr.; and her siblings, Doris Knox, Lawrence Guy, Nate Guy, Theresa Guy, and Morris Guy. She is also lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Loretta was preceded in death by her mother, Anniebell Guy, and her siblings, Mattie Guy and James Guy.
Her legacy of love, laughter, faith, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Services for Loretta include visitation from 9-11am on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Murphy Funeral Home with a Funeral Service to follow at 11am. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
