Until We Meet Again

My beloved, the Lord called you home before me,

Yet your love still walks beside my days.

The house is quieter now,

But heaven is richer because you are there.

You were a woman of strength and grace,

A virtuous wife whose worth was far above rubies.

Your hands were gentle, your heart faithful,

And the fear of the Lord was the crown upon your head.

Like it is written in Proverbs 31,

You clothed our home in love and dignity.

I remember the prayers you whispered at night,

The scriptures you spoke when storms came our way.

You reminded me that "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want."

And now He leads you beside still waters.

Though my heart aches for one more moment with you,

I will not sorrow as those who have no hope.

For the Word tells us in 1 Thessalonians 4:13

That those who sleep in Christ shall rise again.

Your body rests, but your spirit lives with the Father.

The Lord who formed you has received you,

And I know you now walk the streets of gold,

Where pain cannot touch you

And tears cannot fall.

You were my companion, my prayer partner,

My blessing sent from God above.

The years we shared were a sacred gift,

Written by the hand of the Almighty.

So I will continue my journey here,

Holding on to the faith you taught me.

And when the Lord calls my name one day,

I will look for you beyond the gates of heaven.

Until that day, my love remains.

For what God joined in love on earth

Will rejoice again in eternity.

Until we meet again, my beloved
