Loretta June Hutcherson, age 82, of Bloomfield, passed away at 10:14 PM on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. She was born in Terre Haute on October 26, 1942, the daughter of Edgar and Alice E. (Clawson) Pruett.
Loretta was a graduate of Ivy Tech in Bloomington where she earned the education to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked as an LPN for many years in hospitals and nursing homes, retiring from the Lyons Nursing Home in Lyons, Indiana.
She enjoyed attending the Lighthouse Church in Monroe City with her sister when possible, reading, music, and taking care of her family.
She is survived by her three sons, Jeff Hutcherson of Bloomfield, William Nick Hutcherson, Jr. of Bloomfield, and Matt Hutcherson of Worthington; a daughter, Elizabeth Nicole Hutcherson of Bloomfield; a sister, Sharon Osborn of Vincennes; two brothers, Ralph Pruett of SanAntonio, TX and Greg Pruett of Winchester, IN; nine grandchildren, Larissa Baker, Jeffery Hutcherson, Cassie Hutcherson, Stephie Hutcherson, Tori Hutcherson, Dylan Hutcherson, Coral Key, and Alice Key; ten great-grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews, Sharree Bopp, Robbie Pruett, Jeannette Bailey, Robert Pruett, Kymbal Pruett, Kyle Pruett, Gregory Pruett, Lindy Jones, Lanett Clark, and Anthony Pruett.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Nickles "Nick" Hutcherson; sister, JoAnn Pruett; and daughter-in-law, Teresa Hutcherson.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Burial will follow at Worthington Cemetery in Worthington.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 pm until the time of service.
