Loretta Jacobs Obituary
Loretta Jones Jacobs, age 82, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025. She is survived by sons, Walter R. Jacobs III and Keith L. Jacobs; granddaughters, Elaine K. Jacobs and Alexis K. Jacobs; and brother, Ronald Adams. She was preceded in death by husband, Walter R. Jacobs, Jr.; parents, Arthur Jones and Annie Mae Adams Jones; and brothers, Alfred C. "Bobby" Jones, Arthur F. Jones, and David C. Jones. After graduating with a degree in Business Administration from North Carolina A&T University, Jacobs joined IBM, where she broke barriers as the first African American woman to serve as a Regional Sales Representative. She was also an entrepreneur and founded the Headlines of Atlanta beauty salon. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church in Atlanta, GA, in memory of Loretta Jones Jacobs are preferred and appreciated.
