The funeral service celebrating the life of Loretta Johnson of Clarissa will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 6, at the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Clarissa . Visitation will be held at the church on Monday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Woodman Cemetery in Clarissa, MN. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You are invited to watch the service via live-stream by going to Schuller Family Funeral Homes' Facebook Page or YouTube Page ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Loretta, age 100, passed away on September 29, 2025, at the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa, MN. Loretta Pauline Skoglund was born May 19, 1925 to Carl and Signe Skoglund in Minneapolis, MN. At the age of three the family moved north to Spruce Center close to Miltona. Here Loretta attended and graduated from the Alexandria Public School. After graduation Loretta moved to the cities where she worked for three years. She met Willis Johnson of Clarissa at the dance hall in Bertha. They were married on September 28, 1946, at the Spruce Hill Lutheran Church. They had three children: Bruce Willis, Bradley James and Brenda Jean. They owned and operated Red Owl and Johnson Fairway Foods for thirty years. After selling the grocery store, Loretta worked at Clarissa Drug until she retired. Loretta was involved in her community. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary, Lady Bugs Garden Club, the Senior Center, was on the nursing home board and a member of Immanuel Lutheran/Shephard of the Valley Lutheran Church. She was also honored to be chosen the Todd County Outstanding Senior Citizen. She loved spending time at the lake cabin, knitting, crocheting and playing cards. Loretta's grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great granddaughters were her pride and joy. Loretta was preceded in death by her husband Willis Johnson; parents Carl and Signe Skoglund; sister Myrtle (Walfred) Arvidson; brothers Clifford (Clara) and Paul (Lorraine) Skoglund; in-laws August and Nina Mae Johnson; and brother and sister-in-law Russell and Leora Lundstrom. Left to survive Loretta are her children, Bruce (Jen) of Waseca, Bradley (Tess) of Powel, WY and Brenda (Gary) Blombeck of Eagle Bend; grandchildren: Nikki (Steve) Bakken, Erik (LaShonda) Johnson, Heather (Phil) Roney, Meggen (Dana) Sande, Ean (Kelly) Johnson, Adam (Jen) Blombeck and Beth (Troy) Minners; along with 10 great grandchildren; two great-great granddaughters; as well as many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Adam Blombeck, Ean Johnson, Erik Johnson and great grandsons Grayson Roney, Derek Bakken, Clarkson Sande, Brogan Roney, Jase Minners and Stanley Blombeck. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters: Heather Roney, Meggen Sande, Nikki Bakken, Beth Minners, great granddaughters: Stella Sande, Sierrah Bakken Taylor Roney and Stella Blombeck and great-great granddaughters Kinsley and Roycie Rae Roney.
