Loretta Ann Krewson

Loretta Ann Krewson of Haddonfield, NJ, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on December 17th after fighting breast cancer for more than six years. She was 83 years old.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, on March 31, 1942, Loretta grew up on the Main Line with her sister Evelyn K. Seaton, who predeceased her in 2001. After graduating from Merchantville High School, she began a long career as a secretary, working for attorneys and architects, and always amazed her daughters with her ability to write shorthand. Loretta was a lifelong learner – she earned an associate's degree in accounting, read history books, visited museums, and loved watching documentaries. She recently read Cher's autobiography and highly recommended it!
Loretta volunteered for many years on a crisis hotline, talking people through their toughest times. She had countless friends who recall her as an amazing listener, always so kind and funny. In her later years, Loretta competed in the World Dancesport Series ballroom competition with Storm BDC of Cherry Hill, NJ. She loved theater and the arts, often seeing shows with her social group, Fantastic Single Seniors, for which she served as treasurer.
Over the years, she had many canine companions whom she loved deeply. From Buffy, the poodle who was with her through marriage and having kids, to her soul dog Julie, and Bogey, the loyal, loving dog who was snuggled by her side constantly over the last six months.
Loretta was an incredibly proud mother, and she passed on a love of animals, learning, and dancing to her daughters and granddaughters.
Loretta is survived by her daughters Jennifer Forte (Eric) and Lori Archut; granddaughters Isabella Forte and Brielle Forte; nephew Barrett Seaton (Nicole) and his children Autumn Hoyt (Steven), Fenimore Seaton and William Seaton; niece Marlies Frederick (Mike); and niece Loren Wells (Erskine) and her children Erskine, Cooper and George.
Friends and family are invited to honor and remember Loretta on Saturday, January 3rd, at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church 1989 Route 70, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003. Visitation from 9-11 am, followed by a funeral mass at 11 am, immediately followed by burial in the memorial garden. In lieu of flowers, gifts to Voorhees Animal Orphanage (vaonj.org) or Cathedral Kitchen (cathedralkitchen.org) in Loretta's memory are greatly appreciated.
