Loretta Mae Nauta
1938 – 2024
Loretta Mae Nauta, 86, passed away surrounded by her loving family. Born in Summit, NJ in 1938, Loretta lived a life full of adventure, love, and charisma that touched everyone she met.
Loretta was predeceased by her husband, Peter Nauta, and her later-life partner, Paul Lesniewski, but their memories remained close to her heart. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Margaret Nauta, and her grandchildren, Derek Page (and his wife Alex Hayter) and Alexis Page. Loretta was also a proud great-grandmother to Skylynn, Echo, Lyric, Oakley, and Archer.
A dedicated employee in customer service at Allied Signal, Loretta had a knack for making everyone feel valued and appreciated. Outside of work, she was an adventurer at heart. Whether rafting down the Colorado River, skiing down snow-covered slopes, exploring the country in her Airstream, or nurturing her garden, Loretta embraced every moment with enthusiasm and joy. She was a wonderful decorator, and an accomplished artist, crafting beautiful works that reflected her creativity and love for life.
One of Loretta's greatest passions was raising and showing her standard poodles. She took immense pride in their accomplishments, earning numerous awards and recognition. Loretta was also especially proud of her accomplishments as a member of the National Ski Patrol and as a certified Master Gardener. Her commitment to excellence and passion for her pursuits earned her respect and admiration from her peers.
Her charismatic spirit, sharp wit, and boundless sense of humor left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Her legacy of love, laughter, and a life well-lived will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

I will look for some photos but they go back so many years ago. Loretta was one of the most fun people I ever met, she and her poodle pup made my all my workdays better. The Picatinny Haunted House is forever etched in my memory. I'm so sorry, I just found this page. I will always remember the night Loretta and my husband went out in search of raw chicken feet. I will forever smile when I think of Loretta.
