Born on October 26, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, Loretta moved to Sun City West in 1979 and was one of the first residents in the Del Webb community. Over the years, she enjoyed activities such as bowling, table tennis, platform tennis, singing, dancing, polish club, and playing card games with friends and relatives. Loretta always had a smile for everyone she met and was quick to lend a hand to anyone in need.
She has five children, Ray Orwat (Sheila), Susan Mierop (Mike), Janine Harig (Rob), Todd Orwat (Beverly), and Lisa Norman; 11 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
Though our hearts ache with her absence, we carry her love, her lessons, and her spirit forward. Her legacy of compassion, strength, and devotion to family will always be with us.
A mass will be held on Jan. 9, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Sun City West, at 10 am, followed by lunch in the church hall for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her honor.
