Loretta Springer

On December 26, 2024, Loretta, 81, passed away peacefully at her home in Overland Park, Kansas after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Loretta was born on February 15, 1943 in Muscatine, Iowa to Rex and Lorena Gipple.
A graduate of Des Moines Business College, Loretta had just two employers during her lifetime; RG Elder and Son in Des Moines, IA and Teague Electric in Lenexa, KS. Her expertise lay in accounts payable, coding jobs and balancing accounts. She worked (part-time) until 79 because 1-she enjoyed working at Teague and they treated her well and 2- in her words, "to keep my mind sharp".
She was dearly loved by so many. She is survived by one brother Harris Gipple, two daughters Lisa Springer and Lynette Morse (and husband, Chuck Morse), son Kane Springer, two grandsons Alex and Matthew Morris and one granddaughter, Joslyn Springer and many cherished cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Loretta enjoyed watching tv, going to the movies with friends, doing puzzles, watching Iowa Hawkeyes Basketball, going to church, getting together with friends - especially going to restaurants with friends, and spending time with her family.
Loretta will be remembered for her caring and kind spirit, sense of humor and incredible wit, and love for her family and friends. She had MANY friends who adored her dearly.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Elevate Hospice for their compassionate care and all of her friends who shared their time with her.
A celebration of Loretta's life will be held at Lynette's house at a future date in the Spring. Friends and loved ones will be notified once plans are confirmed.
