It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of 34-year-old Paul Andrew Springer on December 8, 2025.
On July 4, 1991, Paul was born and raised in El Paso, Texas to George Joseph Springer II and Melody Springer. He grew up with his four siblings, George Joseph III, Jennifer Eva, Andrew Richard, and Daniel Adam. Paul attended catholic school all his educational life. In elementary and middle school, he attended, Our Lady of Assumption where he found his passion for athletics and joined volleyball and basketball teams. He attended Cathedral High school where he continued to play basketball.
Paul lived a comfortable life until his early teens when he began to suffer great loss. In middle school, he suffered with the loss of his father George Joseph II. His brother Andrew passed away while he was in high school in a tragic accident. A few years after, he also suffered the passing of his brother George Joseph III. These family losses were very hard on Paul and the family. Before the loss of his brother George, Paul had been attending El Paso Community College to obtain a Nursing degree. After he passed, Paul dropped out of school due to the grief.
Despite the immense grief the surviving Springers carried, Paul continued to hold down a job to help support his family during this hard time.
It was in October 2020 Paul met single mother Alexandria (Ally) Rodriguez through social media. After meeting in person a few times in November of that year, the couple fell in love. He moved in with her in March of 2021 to her apartment in
Las Cruces, New Mexico and quickly took on the role of loving, supporting boyfriend and a big supporter to Ally's daughter Violeta. After dating for over a year, the couple got engaged in December 2021. After holding a steady life with Ally, Paul decided to go back into nursing school in March 2022 by enrolling to Dona Ana Community College.
In early 2022, Paul got hired at Walmart where he would get certificates and recognitions for his display of hard work. In May 2022, Paul and Ally took in their nephew Adam Joseph Springer-Dye to help his sister Jennifer raise him. Since Paul was going to nursing school, money was tight, so the couple decided to elope on May 4, 2023, in the desert mountains of Las Cruces. Paul started working as a behavior tech while in nursing school at Mesilla Valley Hospital in early 2024. He started taking up the role of a nurse after he received his license for Licensed Practical Nurse in October 2024. Paul graduated as a Registered Nurse in April 2025. He was promoted to this duty at Mesilla Valley hospital. Paul was known at work for his passion in caring for the patients and going out of his way to connect to them and help them heal mentally as well as physically. Paul suffered the loss of his mother, Melody who passed away in December 2024.
Paul checked into the hospital on November 21, 2025 for pneumonia where he stayed until his passing. In January 2025, Paul was nominated to receive the Daisy Award from Mesilla Valley hospital.
