A celebration of Loretta Stapleton’s life will be held at Sunset Funeral and Cremation Association in Echo on Sunday, November 30, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. All who loved her are welcome to join in honoring her beautiful spirit and the love she left behind.
Loretta Lynn Stapleton, 52, of Granite Falls, Minnesota, left this world peacefully, her gentle spirit lifted to Heaven after a lifetime of love and care surrounded by the love of her family on November 7, 2025. She was born on June 19, 1973, in Spokane, Washington, to Joy Moore and Emmitt Stapleton.
Loretta was a woman of deep faith, gentle strength, and endless compassion. She spent her life caring for others — not only as a nursing assistant, but as a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her heart was pure gold, always putting others before herself, even while facing her own challenges with grace and courage.
She was a devoted mother to Kayla Stapleton (Christopher Dreier) and Joshua Juenemann (Kallyn Lutz), and the proud, adoring grandmother, NaNa of Briella Monsen and Alayah Dreier, who were truly the light of her world.
Loretta is survived by her mother, Joy Moore, and her siblings Kimberly Stapleton, Sylvia Stapleton and many other half siblings. Roger, Dorothy and Nicolette Pottratz. She is preceded in death by her father, Emmitt Stapleton. Her brother, Edward Stapleton. Her grandparents Theron and Minnie Dwyer.
Loretta found her greatest peace in God’s creation — camping under the stars, enjoying the fresh air, and spending time with her beloved animals. She loved cooking, baking, music, working on her diamond art, sharing cozy movie nights with her granddaughters and sitting around the fire with her family and friends. Her laughter was contagious, her hugs were healing, and her love was unconditional.
She had a deep affection for wolves, calling herself “Wolf Pup.” That name suited her perfectly — she had a free and gentle spirit, loyal and fierce in her love for family. Loretta’s kindness touched everyone she met, and her faith in the Lord carried her through even the hardest times.
Though our hearts ache with her loss, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace, no longer suffering in the arms of her Savior, reunited with loved ones who went before her. Her light will continue to shine through the many lives she touched — through every act of kindness, every memory shared, and every heart she helped heal.
Fly high Mama, forever our Wild Angel.
