Loretta Ann Stojek

Loretta Ann Stojek, a loving wife, devoted mother, doting grandmother, and skilled nurse, peacefully passed away on August 30, 2023, at her residence in Simpsonville, SC. She was born in New Brighton, PA, on June 13, 1950, the daughter of the late Rodger S. Nestor, Jr. and Betty D. Austin Nestor. Loretta touched the lives of those around her with her warmth, compassion, and unwavering commitment to her family and the nursing profession.
Loretta's lifelong dedication to healthcare and her unwavering passion for helping others led her to pursue an Associate's Degree in Nursing, laying the foundation for a successful career that spanned several decades. Her commitment and expertise endeared her to countless patients, their families, and her colleagues within the healthcare industry.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Loretta cherished being a supportive and nurturing presence in her family's lives. She adored her husband, Ronald Stojek, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Loretta's love extended to her four daughters: Kelly Cooper (Scott), Lori Stojek (John Sickeri), Amy Stojek, Elizabeth Stojek (Eric Long) whose lives were touched profoundly by her unconditional love and guidance.
Being a grandmother and a great-grandmother brought immense joy and fulfillment to Loretta's life. She was actively involved in the lives of her eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, always offering a listening ear, wise counsel, and an abundance of love and encouragement.
Loretta's warm and gentle spirit will forever be remembered by her siblings: Rodger M. Nestor, Joseph Nestor, and Jenny Cheek. Their shared childhood memories and sibling bond created a lifelong connection that gave Loretta great comfort and joy. Loretta's brother, Thomas Nestor preceded her in death.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Loretta's life will take place at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.
Loretta's unwavering dedication to her family, her compassionate care for others, and her loving presence will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness that will continue to inspire future generations.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Loretta's name to Dubois Central Catholic High School, 200 Central Christian Road, Dubois, PA 15801 as an expression of love and gratitude for her impactful life.
