Loretta Ann Washington (Plainview)

Loretta Ann Washington, 82, of Plainview passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at United Baptist Church with Rev. M.L. White officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park in Plainview, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview, Texas.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors.

Loretta was born in Harlingen, Texas on August 28, 1942 to the late Reuben and Dorothy Hauschild. She was married to Arthur “Peavine” Washington Jr. and was a member of United Baptist Church. She worked for Jimmy Dean for many years before going to work at Excel Meat packing plant where she worked for thirteen and a half years. She was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the number one fan of all her grand and great grandchildren. She loved Elvis gospel music and watching Patick Mahomes play football even though she was truly a Dallas cowboy fan, she loved just being a friend and helping others when she could. When she was able to go she loved to drive and visit family that lived hours away.

She is preceded in death by her husband Arthur ”Peavine” Washington JR, father and mother Reuben & Dorothy Hauschild, 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild

Loretta is survived by her brother Joe Hauschild of Austin Texas. Four Children Charles (Lisa) Preuit of Phoenix, Arizona; Natalie (Kelly) Chamber of Clovis New Mexico; Chris (Gail) Preuit of Fort Worth Texas; and Amber Washington of Plainview Texas and a bonus daughter Angela Perkins of Denison Texas. 12 grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren.
