Lori Beyer Obituary

Lori Beyer
Born: August 12, 1956 in Boulder, CO
Died: December 10, 2025 in Peru, IL
Lori Beyer, 69, of Oglesby, passed away peacefully on the morning of December 10, 2025.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services or visitation. Shields Funeral Chapel, Oglesby is in charge of arrangements.
Lori was born in Boulder, Colorado, on August 12, 1956, to Jerry and Candy Day. In 1978, she married Greg Beyer, and together they had two daughters, Paige and Sydney. Lori found joy in the simple moments of raising her girls and she also loved to travel. She worked as a travel agent, sharing her curiosity and love of the world with her daughters.
In 1992, Lori met her best friend and partner, Tony Rieger. Together, they welcomed a daughter, Katie, and built a life filled with love, laughter, and deep devotion to their blended family.
Lori retired from River Docks in Peru, Illinois, in early 2025. She was passionate about human rights and world issues and could always be counted on for a thoughtful, spirited debate. Above all, she treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.
She is survived by her partner, Tony Rieger; her sister, Kelly Wolf of Belvidere, IL; her daughters, Katie Rieger, Sydney (Jake) Struglinksi of Spring Valley, IL, Paige (Kurt) Funfsinn of Baraboo, WI, and her grandchildren, Damion, Noah, Paul, Kole, Blayke, and Leo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Candy Day, her brothers, Michael and James Day, and her nephew, David Wolf. Lori will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
