Lori Cole Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ridgelawn Funeral Home on Oct. 21, 2024.
Lori Patrice Cole, loving daughter of Charles and Madeline Cole was born September 19, 1966, in Merrillville, Indiana. She was the oldest child of four. Lori accepted Christ at an early age. She graduated from Horace Mann High School class of 1984. She attended Purdue University Northwest and Aspen College, where she received her bachelor's degree in early childhood development. Lori worked for Geminus Corporation as a pre-school teacher for many years. As a dedicated teacher she was willing to put in the extra effort to help her students succeed.
Lori, affectionately known as "Peaches" loved to shop, go to car shows and spend time with her family. To know Lori was to love her. She was a daughter mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to many. We thank God for this life that was shared by so many.
On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the age of 58, Lori was able to hear our Lord and Savior say "Well Done Thy Good and Faithful Servant". As Jesus welcomed her at the gates of heaven, her mother, Madeline Cole, grandparents, Robert (Oner) Cole and Bernice (Richard) Hill, and several other aunts, uncles and relatives were there to greet her as well.
She leaves to cherish many memories, her three children, Nikisha (Brian) Marshall, David (Aaryon) Collins, and India Brown; grandchildren, David Collins, Aaron Collins and Noah Marshall; her father, Charles Cole, Sr.; her brothers, Charles (Demetris) Cole, Mark (Amanda) Cole and Jerel (Kelly) Cole; special friend, William Newson aka Chuck; and a host of other special family members and friends.
Celebration of Lori's life and the joy she brought to all who knew her will be Friday, October 25, 2024. Visitation 9:00 a.m.-11;00 a..m. with Homegoing Services beginning promptly at 11:00a.m.- 12:30 p.m. at Love Feast Church of God in Christ 2456 Chase Street Gary, Indiana 46404. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park in Hobart, Indiana
