Lori spent most of her life in Des Moines and that is where she met the love of her life George. Together they had beautiful daughters, Crystal, Jaclyn and Sarah. Loris' passions in life included cooking, gardening, and helping children with special needs. Lori was a dedicated employee for 21 years at Ruby Van Meter School.
Lori touched many lives during those years. Lori's greatest love in her life was her family and especially her grandchildren, they were her pride and joy. Lori had a beautiful heart and soul and was truly an angel here on earth.
She is survived by her loving husband, George, her daughters Crystal(Brad) Zeroni, Jaclyn (Rick) Cox, and Sarah Miller ( Kurt Sloan), grandchildren Anthony, Hailey, Bradley, Jadyn, Samantha, Melody, Gavin, Aiden, and a grandson on the way due in July. Her brothers Kenneth and Robert Stephen, half sisters, Diane Derby and Lisa Le and numerous other beloved family members.
Lori was welcomed to heaven by all her family members that had preceded her in death, what a joyous occasion that must have been. A visitation will be held Monday April 10, at 10 AM, with funeral services at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Ruby Van Meter Schools.

So very sorry for your loss. I met Lori through RVM school where she worked with my daughter Hope. Lori truly was a very special person who loved children and her incredible work with children with special needs.

I only met Lori once, but I know Shelby loved her so much and she is devastated by this. I will forever be grateful for the love and kindness she showed my daughter. I hope u all find peace and comforts through the memories. {{{Hugs}}}}
