Lori Marie Leialoha Harjung, age 64 of Westfield, passed away peacefully following a courageous six year battle with cancer on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at her home. She was born on September 6, 1959 in Madison, WI to Melvin and Victoria (Wong) Schrank. Lori graduated from Westfield High School in 1977. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Army. Lori married Thomas Harjung on September 11, 1992.
She enjoyed planting flowers and watching birds on the feeder by the window. Lori liked reading romance novels, kittens, puzzles, watching videos and playing games on her phone. She loved and was proud of her Hawaiian heritage and loved our vacations on the islands. But most of all she loved her family and friends and adored all of her nieces and nephews.
Lori is survived by her husband, Tom; step-son, Joseph Harjung; mother, Victoria Clouse; three sisters, Lisa (Joe) Michaels, Lana (Peter Neerdaels) Kukla and Lynda (Rory Rock) Anagnostopoulos; brother, Randy (Cheri Raabe) Schrank; nieces and nephews, Richard, Laura, Chris, Kyle, Kayla, Amanda, Elizabeth and Sara; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Richard “Louie” Schrank.
A memorial service for Lori will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 12:00 noon at New Beginnings Christian Community Church in Westfield with Pastor Terry Temanson officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. at the church.
